The husband likes oatmeal cookies that are big and slightly chewy in the middle.
Ingredients :
3/4 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 3/4 cups rolled oats
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla extract.
Beat.
In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon.
Add flour mixture to butter mixture and beat.
Stir in oats.
Spoon cookie dough onto a greased baking sheet and press dough flat.
Bake 12-15 minutes in a 350F oven.
